TR4 notes: leaks, logic, and learning

The Triumph TR4 is a fantastic reminder that engineering is always a compromise. It’s also a reminder that oil does not respect property boundaries.

What the TR4 teaches

1) Small maintenance beats heroic repair. A five-minute check beats a roadside epiphany.
2) “Character” is not the same as “reliability”. Lovely, but distinct.
3) If it feels slightly off, it is. Machines whisper before they shout.

And yes, it will leak. The goal is not “no leaks”. The goal is “no leaks on the driveway you like”.
