Why “TheWheel” (and why it’s not a midlife crisis)

25 Feb 2026 • Site Personal Origin

TheWheel started as a simple idea: a personal home for the things I’m interested in — without pretending they all fit neatly into a single professional category.

Cars are part of it, obviously. But so is tech, automation, governance, and the kind of humour you develop after decades of being told “the internet is down” because someone’s monitor is off.

Why it works

Short, memorable, easy to spell.
Broad enough to hold multiple interests.
Suggests movement: building, learning, fixing, improving.
And yes, “at the wheel” is a phrase that keeps paying dividends.

If it looks like a midlife crisis, it’s only because the logo is faster than my calendar.
